I was so excited! Amber’s birthday party was hours away and I was psyched! She always has the best parties so I KNEW this year would be no different! My husband was questioning me about how this all worked. I said “Hun ! It’s a great time. Prizes and contests. Cake and ice cream…if you happen to have some at home.” He looked at me funny. I told him it was online. Still the look. So I explained exactly how it worked and then he remembered that one year I won something huge.
“Continue “, he said. So I did.
Every day I went online to see if I had any updates on the party. . Come rain or shine, fire or drought I WOULD go on and try my best to win. However that wasn’t my only reason. I really enjoyed the games and looks back at books I have loved through the years. As usual , every year I end up rereading books I had forgotten about but loved. Always great to visit old friends.
Oh, I love this one.
The sound of the rain pelting on the roof of this old home and the chill in the air made Amber shiver. She huddled under the blanket she had found in the back seat of her car, moving closer to the fire that she had managed to get started in the hearth. A sigh pushed past her lips as she considered the conundrum she was in. A broken down car, a dead phone and she was stuck. Luckily this house was here she thought. So much for making it home to the birthday party her friends were putting on for her, she’d just have to wait it out until morning. At that moment a knock sounded on the front door. Amber turned casting a questioning gaze at it, wondering who would be knocking on it and why.
It was my birthday, and I was really excited about it. I was organizing an amazing party outside, in the garden, and I’d just seen the weather forecast which promised no rain. Yay! My guess were about to arrive, and I was in my room, questioning what I should wear. It was a special occasion, even my fav autor Amber had accepted my invitation and decided to join the fun. I was mesmerized contemplating my choices, when suddenly the fire alarm went off… Fire? what fire? My birthday cake! It was in the oven! But there was nothing left to rescue…. Thanks god, most of my friends know me so well to guess bringing a surprise cake was going to be a good idea… And it was!
The rain was coming down in droves but Amber was determined to have her birthday party today. She had been looking forward to this celebration for weeks. Everyone was questioning her insanity of the situation. They knew the weather would not let up. She decided that they would still have the party on the patio with a fire lit to keep everyone warm and comfortable. The food would be set out under the patio with the barbecue. Amber knew the party would be great!
Jake was running late. It was pouring like cats and dogs, and if his car hadn’t caught on fire last week when he’d stupidly left it parked in front of a fire hydrant then he wouldn’t be in this situation. Instead, he started to get on the bus but was questioning that choice when he saw HIM sitting at the front. The cute guy from Amber’s birthday party last week was the bus driver. The same guy he had in the closet, in Amber’s bed, and the bushes out back all within a span of two hours. They couldn’t keep their hands off of each other. He had a feeling this bus ride was going to be very awkward. He paid his fare and got on the bus.

Happy Birthday to Amber. I hope you are having a wonderful day filled with turkey. I am sure you having a party and I am sitting her alone and questioning – questioning why my invitation got lost to your party. Rain should not have caused that. I know – a fire and my invitation was burnt up. Please avoid that next year so I can go to your party. Thanks again for everything you do for us. Enjoy your party and Happy Birthday!
As we were planning to celebrate my friend Ambers birthday with a surprise party little did we know that it would rain fire around us. We had no idea what was going on until we went outside and started questioning people and finally figured out that Ambers dragon had decided to join in on the celebration too only he was a little to excited. Amber sure does have a lot of explaining to do to the Anthony and Silver. I am so leaving all of that up to her but I’ll stand with her just to gaze at the beautiful Anthony. Happy Birthday Amber
Dear Amber,
Happy birthday!
May your inner fire to be for ever bright and your heart full of joy like a never ending party! All your questioning to find an answer and all your days to be full of wonders!
(It’s not a story, just good wishes.)
“Why are you questioning Amber? Do you want to bring down a rain of fire?” Neil Yarborough said of his favorite MM romance author after his best friend forever, Gretchen Pol, finished grousing about an ending to one of Amber Kell latest release.
She answered, “Why would she care? She’s not here.”
Neil turned towards her, one black eyebrow raised to his black hair line. “She’s psychic that way, especially with it being her birthday party month.”
He looked away addressing the air, “I hope you have a great birthday actual, Amber!”
The end
Happy Birthday, Amber!

It was Amber’s birthday party and already the cake was on fire from the dragons trying to be helpful. Anthony put it out by making it start to rain but a few lightning strikes hit some party guests who were acting out. Silver was questioning himself wondering if it was the right thing to do inviteing all Ambers creations. But the party continued with ambers arrival and a great time was had by all.
The end.
Fire up the jukebox, and get ready to party because this will be a night to remember. No point in questioning that everyone will be there, because rain or shine, we are celebrating Amber’s birthday. The food is laid out, the bar is stocked, and the presents are waiting to be opened. Now the birthday girl just has to arrive and we can get the show on the road.
“Is everything ready for the party?”
“Yes. We’re just waiting for the cake to arrive.” Byron answered.
“Cake? I thought we had decided not to do a cake after Valos set it on fire last year?” Baelee asked his face in a frown.
Byron shrugged. “Have you looked outside? It’s nothing but rain, rain, and more rain. Valos is probably too waterlogged to get a good spark. Besides, Amber is going to be here soon, so we need to be ready.”
Baelee frowned more fiercely. “Byron. It’s her birthday. we can’t afford for anything to go wrong.”
Before Byron could respond, another head poked into the room. “She’s here. Get ready.”
Baelee frowned. “Well, it’s too late now. Let’s go.”
The firemen were questioning Amber about the raging fire. Amber looked at them and said this is my birthday and I can have a big fire if I want to. Amber got a little scared about how big the fire was so she did a rain dance. (I know this isn’t very good but I tried.)
“Amber, sweetie, I know it’s your birthday and your party but …” she paused, “the heavy rain has put the flames out in the fire pit where you plan to grill the meat. As a result the steak will be a bit too rare for normal people to eat as well as it being damp out. Those that aren’t werewolf or of the two natured will be questioning if you’re trying to give them food poisoning as well as pneumonia or some such. They’re already calling to see if maybe it could be rescheduled for a more auspicious, um, date?” Again she paused before suggesting, “They say that Saturday is supposed to be a nice warm and sunny day.”
Today I was headed out for a Birthday party at the park. It was going to be a blast. As I was headed out it started to rain. I called my friends to question what we were going to do. They said to meet at Ambers House and we party there. When I arrived a nice warm fire was started and everyone was ready to party.
Amber’s birthday is a day for celebration. There was to be a party and there would be not questioning how much fun was planned. Neither rain or shine would get in our way but that was when my thoughts were interrupted. It was the fire detector beeping. We rushed over to fling the oven door open to find the foil on fire for our hors d’oeuvre. Lucky we managed to save the food and hear the doorbell go. This was going to be the biggest bestest bash we could throw for our friend.
It seemed like any other day. I woke up, checked the weather outside…rain as usual. It’s Thanksgiving in Oregon. Time to check up on the Birthday girl’s blog and Facebook page; after all, Amber always throws a wonderful party come rain, shine, sleet, snow, fire-breathing dragons, & an occasional crazy scientist thrown if for fun. Wow, she is going to have an after hours birthday party at Silver’s club, and throwing a scavenger hunt to find the golden tickets to get in as a guest. I want to go to the Emerald City Moon Pack club so badly, I have to find a golden ticket. I can do it, I just need to take the time to follow the directions and remember that it is okay to speak to Anthony and Silver for clues as they are in charge of membership to the Moon Pack club. After all questioning potential members is something Anthony loves to do; but, I can’t forget to show Silver the respect he is due.
So my Birthday was on November 21 and Amber’s was on the 22nd. We decided to celebrate with a Birthday Party on the same day. We were questioning where we would have the party. We needed a place with cover should it rain but wide space for guest. We had so much ideas that we were on fire. We decided to celebrate near the lake that go through my city that near multiple restaurants and a cinema.
Questioning myself how i got everyone in here and then to be quiet enough to surprise Amber for her birthday party plus there was the fire in the kitchen from someone forgetting to turn off the stove, luckly once the burnt roast was outside the heavy rain took care of cooling it down.
Looking out the window, I started questioning our plans for the birthday party for Amber Kell. It would be difficult to get the fire started for her barbecue in the pouring rain. All of the guests had RSVP’d though, so we would have to do something. It would just have to be inside. A little crowded, but the characters coming would make sure that everyone had fun.
