Welcome Birthday Guest MA Church!

Hey! My name is M.A. Church, and I just wanted to start off by saying happy birthday to Amber!

So, I guess the birthday that sticks out the most in my mind was my fiftieth. Turning fifty was pretty significant, LOL! It just so happened my daughter made a point to come home for my birthday. She lives in the Austin, Texas area, so that alone would’ve been enough. But oh no, my family had plans, apparently. That evening, Courtney and her dad decided they wanted to go to Sportsman’s Warehouse (They are both bow hunters). So, off they go, and I stayed home.

Well, and hour or so later, Courtney and the hubby returned… with Blake (our son) also in tow. They’re pushing this HUGE box through the house—which is unwrapped, of course. The hubby tends to be kinda last minute on shopping. Anyway, it’s a 50” TV!

That was something I’d been wanting for the bedroom since my vision isn’t that what it used to be.

After screaming and jumping up and down—because hey—50” TV, Blake gives me a black gift bag with fifty individual Hershey Kisses in it, along with a fifty dollar gift card to Chili’s that was also in a black envelope.

Courtney then whips out this super large cupcake with the numbers 5 & 0 on it—in black, of course—along with another, you probably guessed it by now, fifty dollar gift card to Bath & Body Works.

It was only then I figured out every gift had something to do with the number fifty. *Shakes head* Swear to God, this family of mine!

For my giveaway, I’m offering up a copy of Trouble Comes in Threes. It’s the first book in my Fur, Fangs, and Felines series.

  1. Wow that sounds like a fun birthday and I like that they made such a big deal out of the 50 years. Mine consisted of everyone telling me I wasn’t ‘really’ old 😀

  2. Looks like a great series, and I love the cover!
Thank you for sharing your fun birthday with us! 😉

  3. That does sound like a fun birthday.
I picked up this book a while ago (You’re one of my buy-unseen authors), but I haven’t had a chance to read it yet. I’m sure it’s great.

  4. That is so sweet! When my father turned 50 his friends put an over the hill sign on his car, a huge one on our house and a sticker on the back of his suit! My father was a car sales man everyone got a huge kick out of it! Now those are real friends when you can laugh at the ridiculous things they do to embarrass you in front of everyone!

  5. When I turned 50 my sister called me and asked how it felt to be a half century old, lol oh and to wish me a happy birthday

  6. Sounds like it turned out to be a very happy birthday! I have very much enjoyed your books.

  7. Sounds like a great Birthday…My 50th was 2wks before my oldest son’s wedding so no big party for me…but that was fine as the wedding was wonderful…when I turned 50 my son turned 25…lol

  8. Sounds like an awesome birthday. Love the gifts, hope you got some great stuff with the gift cards. I love the Fur, Fangs and Feline series, I have all of them. I’m kind of hoping that you will write more of them, they are really really good. I highly recommend them.
