  1. Everyone thought Eric was a mind reader, but that wasn’t quite true. He read auras, not thoughts, but that didn’t matter. Only strangers would talk to him. So Eric was both curious and perplexed by Sam’s insistence that they meet secretly on the beach after dark. Eric had had a crush on Sam for years and they’d once been tentative friends, right after Sam had moved to town, but that had been ruined by rumors and Eric’s own inability to keep his mouth shut. Now he waited, hoping it meant a second chance.

  2. Andrew was a mind reader. He inherited it from his mom and grandma. People don’t want to talk to him in fear of what he might “see ” in their minds.
Benjamin needed a private meeting with Andrew. He had said some things years ago that he wished with all his heart he could take back. Something not true but he had been hiding who he was and didn’t like that fact that Andrew knew. He had been scared Andrew would have told someone. Had he been paranoid? YES! Had he known better? Yes , but he couldn’t stop the garbage spewing out of his mouth. He needed to fix what he did. He needed to ask for forgiveness from the one man his heart was set on, had been set on since their early teens. It was now or never.

  3. I have been reading all these ideas and I’m so impressed I wish I could do that but story thinking up is beyond me but I do enjoy reading the finished product. I’ll be checking back to see if anyone adds to these. Really enjoy them all.

  4. Jean Pierre’s mind reading abilities made him want to smash his head against something. It had gotten so worse at work, that he was becoming the person nobody would talk to. He knew it was his own fault. If only he could take back what he said to John, after reading his thoughts. And now, that secret meeting that Hank had in his mind. Mysteries, mysteries , mysteries! And he was so curious, maybe, just maybe he could….

  5. Being a mind reader was not always a great thing. People tended to stay away from you since they didn’t like others knowing what they thought. It also got you noticed by the wrong people who kidnapped you so you could be part of a secret meeting. If only I go back in time and not tell anyone of my ability and kept my mouth shut

  6. Trying to not be labeled as a charlatan was hard but Derek was determined to help people with his gift. His mind reading was more the reading of their auras and body language. It wasn’t precise sometimes but he felt he provided a need. Until one night he broke the one rule he had with friends and read Antony’s aura and found out the secret he has been keeping. Now he has to evade people wanting to use Derek’s gift for something other than good and try to figure out just where and why Antony was taken because sometimes helping people just was a pain in the butt.

  7. Quentin wasn’t a mind reader, but he was turning into the person nobody will talk to. Too bad that “secret meeting” wasn’t so secret and if only what was said could be taken back.

  8. I am not a mind reader. Who does he even think he is. My boss Ethen is the biggest jerk on the planet. He treats women like garbage. Ethen has been having these very mysterious secret meetings I. The basement of our building. I think they may be mafia or at least some very bad men! There is a man in the office no one lies or wants to talk to his name is Dudley. He has been blocking the basement door so us employees can’t listen to what is being said in the basement. I asked him today what they were doing down there. Now I wish I could take the conversation back. I think my life is in danger. My house was broken into and they left a message saying stay out of our way. Now this could be anything but I’m not inclined to think so! What do I do now……

  9. Riley had always been such a nice and sweet man. He always tried to see the good in everyone even if there wasn’t any good to be seen. Marco was the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks. Marco was the person that no one would talk to and act like they didn’t know. Riley meet Marco the summer they turned 16. At first they would meet secretly because Marco didn’t want anyone to think badly of Riley. Riley was the one person Marco would love for ever. When Riley turned 21 his family threw him a big surprise party at a local steakhouse where Marco happened to be a bus boy. Riley’s mother was always trying to set Riley up with different young men from their “circle” but Riley would never show the first bit of interest in anyone. Tonight was the night that Riley wanted to introduce Marco as his boyfriend. Riley had excused himself to go to the bathroom. When Marco saw that he followed behind. They had made it to the bathroom and was talking when in walked Jeremiah walked in. Jeremiah was the complete opposite of Riley and Marco. He was just plain cruel. He started making fun and trying to bully Marco and Riley was taking up for Marco. Marco had always felt like he wasn’t good enough for Riley and after Jeremiah had said what he had just said made it feel even more true. After Riley made Jeremiah leave the bathroom he was trying to hug and kiss Marco but Marco wasn’t having any of that. Marco told Riley that their relationship was a mistake and had always been a mistake and that he had just been using him. Riley accused Marco of lying but Marco left Riley crying in the bathroom. Marco then went to the employee locker room and immediately regretted and thought if the words he had spoken could only be taken back. Marco went back into the dining area to look for Riley and to apologize only to find that Riley had already left crying. It was like Riley’s mother was a mind reader and knew that Marco was the one that had upset Riley. She went straight to Marco and told him she hadn’t realized how Riley had felt about him. She told Marco where he could find Riley so that he could try to make it up to him.

  10. Secret Meeting. With a Mind Reader. What could possibly go wrong? Jason’s reputation was such a pain because some people wouldn’t even talk to him now. If Macon could only take back the stupid remarks he had said during the interview. Which was why he was crashing the meeting. As if Jason wouldn’t be expecting him…..

  11. His business card read: John Smith, Mind Reader Extraordinaire. It made it quite easy to determine if someone was serious when they walked into the office with his card. After all, most people stayed away from him like he had the plague. People were afraid that if they talked to him, he would just invade their mind. After all, nobody wants to have all their secrets exposed, even if it’s just silly stuff like which way they like to eat a tootsie pop. So it made sense that he sold his services very discretely to very wealthy clients that needed specialized information. His clientele was very limited.

So it came as a surprise when Lord Albert David Pennyworth the Third walked into his office. He hadn’t seen him since the unfortunate pledge night when Albert then known as “Bertie” had told him that he was only being allowed into the fraternity on a bet. After all no one believed that he could read minds. As he stood in the secret meeting room with Bertie and the other members of the hazing committee, he saw red and so much more. So channeling his inner “Carrie” he had spilled all their secrets right there in the dark room. It’s amazing how many closeted gay boys were in that frat. Guess it was true what they say about Tri-Lambs. Needless to say, he did NOT become a member.

  12. Being a mind reader sucks. Tell it to Alistair MacCainne. If you cannot take back what you’ve said, imagine trying to control what you think. Sure way to end any possible relationship. Because there are stray thoughts nobody can control. That’s why people continually avoid him. He’s the person nobody will talk to, just a hurried greeting not even looking his way. As if he could see their hidden secrets with only a peek at their eyes. So he’s accepted loneliness as a side effect of his “power”. At least his job as secret agent/bodyguard is cool. Until he’s assigned as bodyguard of a foreign prince coming to a secret meeting with the president. One look at those black eyes, and Alistair is a goner. But he sees treason in those eyes… if only thoughts could be taken back like words are….

  13. Lev, the weirdo that no one wants to talk to.
    Yep, he’d heard that before.
    Lev, the mind reader.
    Correct!! Indeed he was.
Lev, the freak who’s always in a secret meeting with the gangsters or other shady people.
Well, accurate? Sort of. They’re undercover law enforcement you idiot’s.
But he’d let them assume, of course. He never wanted to risk someone’s life in this kind of work. It should be a no brainier that he’d try to use his curse for some good. After what he did– no! No, best not to think of that now. Lev continued to sip his coffee in the dark corner of this shitty coffee house. Well, it was a mess, but man did the old man know how to make a cuppa. It was always the hole in the wall that made the best food or drinks.
This line of work, working to bring down traffickers and killers and the darkest and worst scum of the earth wasn’t something he originally ever wanted to do. But after he… after he ruined his best friend and the love his his life’s world with his thoughtless comment back in high school, this was all a sort of atonement for ruining Silva’s life.
If only what was said could be taken back… Silva’s father had come home late when they were playing video games during summer break in High School. Mrs. Eldridge had just set out the last set of cookies when Mr. Eldridge has walked in and greeted everyone. However, as he was speaking, Lev heard and saw and imprint of his thoughts. Mr. Eldridge was such a cliche. He hadn’t been working late, no… he’d been cheating on Mrs. Eldridge with his much younger secretary.
Lev had blurted out “How could you?! Mrs. Eldridge trusted you and you lied and have been with that ugly girl this whole time?! How could you?!” After his shouting, he’d realized what he’d just said and slapped his hand over his mouth. Eyes wide, he trued to Silva who’s face had frozen in anguish. He’d revealed his secret to Silva and Mrs. Eldridge a long time ago because unlike his drunk mother, Mrs. Eldridge always cared and believed him and invited him into her home. He turned to her next. Her face, was also frozen, a stony blank look of acceptance. Mr. Eldridge proceeded to stutter and curse at Lev, denying his ridiculous accusations.
“Lev, I’m so sorry,” Mrs. Eldridge still speaking kindly & softly to him, ignoring her husband said, “I’m afraid, I’m going to need you to go home now.”
Lev looked back at Silva who had tears rolling down his face. Lev simply nodded, got his backpack from the doorway and ran to his house down the block. He was too chicken to look back again. That was the last time he spoke to Silva. When summer break was over, Silva had moved with his mother to her sister’s house and she had filed for divorce. The rest was history. He’d never been able to tell Silva he liked him, loved him, and he never would. So here he was, using his curse for some good and atoning for ruining the life of the boy he’d loved.

  14. Shane is a mindreader. As a case worker, it comes in handy when some of his clients are to distressed to talk and won’t open their mouth regardless of the help being offered. Then on one of his visits to one of his cases he hears something about a secret meeting involving child trafficking. Afraid that his client might be at risk, he rushes off to report it to a close friend at the police station. But when it’s leaked what he reported Shane finds him in a situation that makes him wish he never reported what he accidentally heard.

  15. No one will talk to Roarke now. If only he could take back what he said but that is not happening anytime soon. He is hoping his best friend is still talking to him. Maybe they can have a secret meeting so no one knows and he will not be affected by Roarke’s big mouth. But he is a mind reader so he will know everything

  16. Sammy was the outcast of his family no one wanted him around or to talk to him. Sammy always wished he could take back he said to his father but he needed to tell someone that he could read minds because it was driving him mad to hear his family having secret meetings to kill him and his father.

  17. Dragon shifter Rune Hart always stands off to the side of his nests monthly meetings. Even with his beautiful long blood red hair and silver eyes nobody ever talked to him anymore.
You see Rune had the power to read anyone’s mind. Even those much more powerful than him. And that frightened them.
That is until a nest member’s new mate brings a guest to their meeting. A powerful vampire leader named Lucian. A being he can’t read.
Rune is resolved to stay away from him. No matter how attracted to him he is, but then he hears his nest leaders thoughts of a secret meeting about how to deal with the unwanted vampire in their midst.
Should he approach Lucian? What would he say?
He hadn’t known how to react the first time Lucian had approached him. He had been alone for so long. He didn’t realize till too late what Lucian was to him.
If only Rune could take back what he had said to him. Could he fix it?

  18. there he sat, all by himself – ostracized, ignored — yet you could tell it didn’t matter to him. his confidence surrounded him, filling that empty corner of the cafeteria where he alternated between eating, tapping away on his laptop and scribbling in his notebook. that thick sandy blonde hair kept just long enough to start to curl a bit in waves and dark wire rimmed glasses still made me feel things I knew I shouldn’t, couldn’t allow myself to feel. if only i hadn’t made those promises to my father before I met him, hadn’t said I’d follow thru on the agreements father and his business associate had entered into to unify their companies via marriage between their heirs. if only I was truly free. when he raised his head and looked straight at me, it was as if he could read my thoughts from across the room. looking into his deep blue gaze, even from that distance, it brings back all the feelings to the fore front, making me long to return to those secret meetings where it was just the two of us and reality could be forgotten. how will i ever manage to be happy again?

  19. Mine didn’t seem to be post even though I post before the last person. So I’m trying again.
