  1. My go-to when sick is either soup (split pea or tomato) or pasta. Something quick to make & doesn’t take a lot of thought.

  2. When I was a kid, my grandmother would make potatoes with milk gravy; it was the only thing that would entice me to eat when I felt horrible. Now I usually gravitate towards some kind of creamy soup but I still think of when I was a kid.

  3. Like many of the others, I usually go for soups or Grandma’s recipe for beef stew.

    Depending on what I’m dealing with, there’s a big difference if it’s a tummy upset or pneumonia: Eggs and grits; split pea and veggie soup; grilled tuna/dairy free cheese sandwich; BLT.

  5. Melted cheese…as quesadilla , macaroni, rice or biscuits….something about melted gooey cheese makes me feel better.

  6. Hot Tea with toast that has peanut butter and jelly on it. Or go all out and put cream cheese, peanut butter and jelly on the toast. One of my Mom’s favorites.

  7. Chicken soup if I don’t have an appetite, pizza if I do (I swear it cured me once when I was little).
